A slow weekend in San Francisco

Hills, bookshops and a walk across the Golden Gate.

San Francisco is small enough to walk, if you do not mind the hills. Two days is a good start.

Getting there

The train runs from the airport to downtown in thirty minutes.

Where to stay

The Mission or North Beach, both full of cafés.

What I would do differently

I would walk across the bridge from south to north, then take the ferry back.
