Walking the Cinque Terre

Five villages, one coastal path and the best swim stops between them.

The five villages are linked by trains, boats and a path along the cliffs. Walking it in two days gives you time to swim in each one.

Getting there

Trains run along the coast from La Spezia every few minutes.

Where to stay

Stay in Levanto, just outside the park, quieter and cheaper.

What I would do differently

I would walk from south to north, with the sun behind me.

I left a desk job in 2019 to travel slowly. This blog is everything I wish I had known before each trip: honest itineraries, real budgets and the places worth the detour.
