48 hours in Porto

Tiles, river views and the bakeries worth a detour.

Porto is a city of hills, tiles and long lunches. Two days is short, but enough to fall for it.

Getting there

The metro runs from the airport to the centre in half an hour.

Where to stay

An apartment in Ribeira or Miragaia, close to the river.

What I would do differently

I would cross to Gaia at sunset for the view back over the city.

I left a desk job in 2019 to travel slowly. This blog is everything I wish I had known before each trip: honest itineraries, real budgets and the places worth the detour.
