Banff in four days

Lakes, short hikes and wildlife in the Canadian Rockies.

The lakes of Banff are so blue they look edited. They are not, and they are even better from a trail.

Getting there

Fly to Calgary and drive west for an hour and a half.

Where to stay

Canmore, just outside the park, quieter and cheaper than Banff town.

What I would do differently

I would book the lake shuttles early. Parking fills by eight.

Prices in this guide are what I paid. They move every season, so use them as a rough guide.
